First International Pearl Rendezvous
was a great success!

Paris Pearl Rendezvous
With a renewed respect for fine jewelry and it's remarkable history, our special group of eleven adventurous glamour seekers just arrived home from our first Pearl Rendezvous in Paris. This stunning and unforgettable trip to the city of lights was filled with fun, enthusiasm and a quest for the extraordinary.

Our itinerary was captivating from beginning to end. Our first day was an eye opening, jaw dropping visit to Perles, Une Histoire Naturelle Exposition at the Grande Gallerie de l'Evolution. We were stunned by the unforgettable jewelry that made history! Amongst the collections, a few special pieces caught our group's imagination including an incredible collection of large baroque pearls incorporated into stunning pieces of jewelry and sculpture, the largest strand of baroque Tahitian pearls we ever seen, a 40,000 year old natural pearl and a rare collection of conch and melo pearls to name a few.

Following this breathtaking exhibit, we spent the day at the astonishing Louvre Museum, as we perused its magnificent art and architectural glory. We stopped at the famous crown jewels exhibit, where diamonds, sapphires and emeralds of incredible size were on display in an equally exuberant aisle of the museum.

Paris Pearl Rendezvous
Then onto the Musee des Arts Decoratifs as we gazed at jewelry from centuries past, pieces of historical importance and great beauty. As we strolled the Place Vendome, we visited the most prestigious jewelry houses in the world, many of whom have been there for over a century, Cartier,Van Cleef and Arpels. Mauboussin, Boucheron, Mellerio, Lalique and the newcomer Jar - the Prince of Pave.

And of course there was the delicious French cuisine, incredible French wines and the yummy Parisiene Hot Chocolate shared in charming cafes as we explored the city and all its romance. We sleuthed the side streets for treasures of antique jewelry and made a pilgrimage to the design Mecca - the original Chanel shop.

It was a wonderful trip and the first of many more to come! Please contact us for more information on upcoming special Spirit of Pearl events.
