Pearl Rendezvous Event - Pearl Sorting and Grading
Join us at Spirits in Stone in Healdsburg on May 3 from 5 to 7pm

The finest gem pearls have arrived from Tahiti, the South Seas, and the Freshwater lakes of Asia for sorting and grading. Learn the hands on secrets of the best gemology experts in the world and how they separate out one pearl from another. Why is one more valuable than the other? What's the criteria? Be savvy like top connoisseurs in the pearl world. Come enjoy the glow of pearls!

Lecture by Randy Pavlow, promoter and jewelry expert from the European House of Gellner. Randy will be bringing an unsorted parcel of pearls for you to grade. This is a hands on experience to develop the ability to discern differences in the qualities that determine the value of a pearl. Learn the criteria for judging pearls. Develop the "eye" and have fun while you are doing it.

1st Thursday! Blue Lotus Jewelry event
May 3rd, from 5 to 9 pm
At our Santa Barbara Gallery

Spirits in Stone, in collaboration with the Downtown Organization and neighboring art venues, is excited to present 1st Thursday, an evening of art and culture in Downtown Santa Barbara. On the first Thursday of every month, participating downtown galleries will stay open from 5-8 p.m. (or later) to offer free access to art in a fun and social environment.

On May 3rd we celebrate Blue Lotus, a jewelry collection presented by mother and daughter, Barbara and Erica Nelson, two Santa Barbara natives with passion for travel, nature and people. The two artists have been creating jewelry together for over 10 years and gathering inspiration from exotic places like India, China, Europe and the people that they have met in their spiritual journeys.

Each jewelry piece tells a story of diverse cultures and mysteries of nature. The collection is inspired by colors, spices and textures of the far away lands they have been. Pearls, gemstones, gold, leather and silver come together in perfect harmony, simplicity and elegance.

Meet the jewelry artists on May 3rd from 5 to 9pm, for a 1st Thursday event in downtown Santa Barbara.
